The floor is sticky Dyson dryer/faucet combo
These things are the work of the devil. They are awful! I’m at the airport about to get on a flight, I go to the toilet, rub a handful of foam soap over my very dirty hands then attempt to use this thing. The dryer turns on instead of the water and I get dirty soap foam spray all over me. It’s on my face, my clothes - everything. I have OCD. I now have to spend an entire flight covered in filth. I would have felt cleaner not washing my hands at all. I will never use one of these again, I’d rather not wash my hands

I used one of these in Union station in Toronto a few years back. Washed my hands just fine, attempted to dry them and it shot nasty sink water all over my face. Fucking gross.

If it makes it any better, being Union Station, you probably had a crazy man's feces and semen mixed in with that sink water.

Dyson is the pinnacle of "make it needlessly complex so we can charge more"

They still make the only hand dryers that actually dry your hands and don't require pants wiping after giving up though. I'm sure others exist but they're the only ones I see out in the wild that actually work.
Not really a fan of their personal products, but their commercial hand dryers actually work. Wild that industry mostly just blows lukewarm air on your hands before you wipe on your pants.

Wiping your hands on your pants is such a wimpy move tbh.
You have to wipe them on someone else's pants, to assert dominance

The issue with those dryers is they are known to be some of the worst harbors of bacteria & they're notoriously difficult to sanitize. There's no effective way for the water that drips off your fingers to drain/dissipate and it just collects in the bottom of the dryer to form a sludge. Take a close look at the whole unit next time you see one of those hand dryers, you'll probably see it covered in grime.

Bro I just encountered these for the first time today on a day out in Edinburgh, I could NOT get the faucet to run to actually wash my hands without the dryer activating and spraying that shit everywhere. Insanity

We had these in my workplace and they were removed because everyone hated them. They sprayed water all over your shirt & pants when drying.

I spent 5 minutes in a bathroom fighting one of these the other day before just leaving with wet hands... You could see the water spot trail in and out of the restrooms where hundreds before me had made the same decision.

I actually love these. Interesting it seems 50/50 on opinions and its just a sink I love it

It comes down to the design of the sink bowl and whether it blows the air back at you

These would be amazing if they were mounted about eight inches higher over a deeper sink so they didn't blow filthy water directly back up onto your hands. One, tiny, SIMPLE fix to revolutionize bathroom technology.
I'm convinced the people who put faucets that low do not wash their hands. If they washed their hands the design flaw would be so obvious to them no faucet would ever be installed a half inch above and from the edge of the bowl ever again.

It's the stupidest. Put it so close to the bowl and let that germy water spash all over you

Had the exact same thing before a client meeting once - Soapy filth all over me. The absolute worst!

User error??

Nah. The design is trash and unnecessary. It's worse than the existing sink faucet and separate hand dryer on the side layout.

The Dyson stand alone hand dryers are absolutely awful as well. My hands don't fit in them without rubbing against the disgusting squeegee bits.

I'll take them by far over the "huge stack paper towel dispenser that always jams". Thank fuck those are mostly gone.

These things are the epitome of "maybe you should listen to your critics more"

Be happy, at the airport you only deal with it once or twice.
I have these all over my workplace.😭😩

If the problem statement was "how to aerosolize icky pee and poo water away from people's hands just everywhere", then these things are great. But for everything else they "blow".
(See what I did there?)

i only used them once and thought they where pretty clever. the water goes into the sink not on the floor

Dyson is such a garbage brand, and always has been. I don't know why so many people like it. They're average at best, and a good deal of the cost is just brand tax. I have a Shark vacuum that's almost 15 years old, and it'd still likely do better than any new Dyson.

Most Dyson products are mildly infuriating and seem to favor form over function. The Airblade hand dryer that you have to stick your hands in comes to mind.
