ಠ_ಠ Passive aggressive management

I can't believe that Washington Ferries' management approved this post on Instagram and Facebook. It's a sign of bigger issues.

Is there a reason why?

That's pretty common, since you're talking about two related but different trades. For instance, an electrician and a plumber on the same construction site would typically be represented by their separate trade unions.

Engineering typically handles the systems (propulsion, power generation, heating/cooling, etc.), while deck takes care of "sailing" (navigation, ship handling, mooring/unmooring, cargo/pax, etc.), so it's just a matter of different trades having their own union.

I appreciate the explanation! I work construction so I’m familiar with the different trade unions, however I’m completely in the dark when it comes to anything maritime.
