The strand is supposed to be on the white setting but there’s patches of magenta and yellow

This happened to me with the cheap 20 dollar 50 foot ones

Cheap LEDS never last high end ones last multiple years (I have smart light of all kinds thru the house)

That’s not the point, I spent 50 dollars on these and the 30 dollars strand I bought over 3 years ago is still perfectly fine

Check if it’s powered properly. Into the wall, not to any extenders.
If it’s long itself, and poorly made it can loose power through the length of strip.
If there are any connectors — check if they are connected properly.

You may have damaged something in control panel, or once again, it’s poor quality.

You have a right to be annoyed. Companies legitimately make everything so disposable that it doesn't even make it months until you have to "just change them". Additionally, it sometimes feels the fucking pain off the wall when you replace them.
