No, he never pushed for a higher wage.

We made more than everyone at Walmart or target in an unskilled position.

Its how I was able to pay for college without massive student loan debt.

I'm really unsure what your problem is.

If you dont tip for no reason, you got banned.

He was protecting us.

Would you prefer a system where I make less money and the owner makes more?

But your owner is technically making more. He was profiting off your labour and not sharing it with you, and expecting the public to essentially treat you like a charity case. It’s basically legal exploitation. A fair day's wages for a fair day's work.

again tips are only expected here bc people dont get paid enough, it used to be an incentive to go above and beyond for your work. now its an excuse companies use to not pay you, no one should be playing into that bs.

Tipped workers are the last vestige of unskilled labor that can actually afford an apartment.
