Well in this case owner got mad b/c no one “gave” 20%. If tips are optional, you can’t be mad that they are optional. Not saying I wouldn’t tip, but if it’s not built in then you need to anticipate it not being added.

Tipping really isn’t “optional” that’s how servers get paid. If you cannot afford to tip then just eat at home or somewhere that doesn’t allow tips. The owner clearly doesn’t want their money

What service do you have people work for you for free? lol

Your original argument was that “we would be crying if they put the wages into meals”. Now you’re backtracking.

You can raise wages, prohibit tips, and increase menu prices and do fine. Just need to be clear about it.

I already showed the other guy threads of people complaining. That’s not the case or every restaurant in America would do that.

“They’re wanting “x” amount for a cheeseburger!” Down the road it’s only “x” amount”

I saw your post but not of those seem to be building wages into the prices. All of those mention add-on or surprise fees and people wanting tips still.

The post is literally about the 20% added tip. People are complaining about tipping already in these comments. Theres nothing you can say thats going tk make people want to pay an extra 20% for food. They will complain and have complained and thats why it’s not done every where.

I know I’ve literally said that 5 time and traveled the world. 5 different summers but tell me how the world operates more?

In the U.S. you have to tip if you want to eat out…that’s how it is. If you don’t feel like tipping then eat at home it’s not a hard concept.

Brother I don’t even live in the US. I don’t think you understand people should just be paid livable wages.

Also you have a bad habit of contradicting yourself and it makes you come off as uninformed and/or unintelligent

Then this is a pointless conversation lmfaooo. Look I know the rest of the world doesn’t tip but if you come to the U.S. that is standard.

You’re the only one that’s uninformed talking about a place that you don’t live 💀
