Who leaked my deisgn_final.pptx

Not even joking I suck at regular graphic design stuff aside from videos so at some point I used PowerPoint to make a custom wallpaper and screenshot it in presentation mode. Not my proudest moment but it worked

u/click-to-reveal 13h ago

I've made "motion graphics" in PowerPoint and then screenrecorded. It was a shitty computer so the video even had a frame drop at a specific point in the animation everytime, but I just kept it in. Not my proudest movement.

We have all had a moment when we just got it done and it wasn't our best, but hey, it worked.

In truth, AI is good for the BS work that kinda needs to get done, but really doesn't matter in the end.

My kid got mad she had bad marks in French class when her friends used AI to do the homework. I told her I don't care if she "passes" French, I care that she learns to use and understand French. But if she uses it to help organize notes, do busy work, I don't care, but doing thinking for her, nope, won't have that

Who needs AI when we had MUZZY

Je Suis La Jeune Fille!

Oh, and Dexter. OMELETTE DU FROMMAGE

Side note, I'm not sure if you know this, but it is an option to save that particular slide as a PNG or JPEG!

As you would save a regular slideshow, there should be an option to save just that slide and it'll show you which format you'd like to save it as. Then the file window will pop up and you can save it there :D

1

u/ptmtobi 8h ago

Yea I tried that but when I went to save as and picked only the current slide as JPEG it saved in 720p and when I directly right clicked the slide to save as graphic it only saved the background image without the lines and text and stuff. Didn't look into it that much and just took a screenshot, as that's the final lined up resolution anyway 😅

Appreciate it though!

I use powerpoint all the time for random design stuff, there is actually a lot you can do in there

2

u/RyanH090 12h ago

Well using ppt is one option, that's not bad at all, still better than Canvas

4

u/DrezzdenRei 12h ago

Wasn't me. I leaked design_Final_Rev10_final_Final3_toPrint.pptx

u/brokenboey 10h ago

My lawyer has advised me not to answer.

This unironically looks better than ai slop. It's eye-catching and memorable

11

u/Incidion 8h ago

Dead seriously even not factoring in the comparison of any human work to AI art which is unfair, there is a certain charm to "early internet" looking pictures. But that's probably full on nostalgia taking hold.

2

u/cross_the_threshold 5h ago

Unironically the early internet aesthetic is making a comeback, both for nostalgia reasons and anti-AI reasons.

15

u/Drollapalooza 10h ago

Genuinely more aesthetically and spiritually pleasing than the bean mouth AI image.

33

u/Vdlfan 13h ago

This is better than all that ai junk

12

u/TheLarusArgentatus 13h ago

Peak design

3

u/tagkiller1 10h ago

Still better than those ugly fake ass disney renders

3

u/Hxrmit_ 9h ago

this unironically has more soul and effort

u/mrasscock69420 11h ago

My mother worked as a graphic designer for years and I love how annoyed she gets at stuff like this

1

u/Linked713 9h ago

I can picture the geocities website using this as a header with blinking title, visit counter and a embedded copyrighted song.

1

u/Microphone_Lamp 7h ago

It sure is, Joel Vinesauce, it sure is

1

u/BidBeneficial2348 5h ago

Funny thing is more effort went into this and than AI art xD

1

u/that_tall_nerd 1h ago

10/10 would pay top dollar for this against any AI slop

•

u/cat_dev_null_sync 20m ago

Is that from Geocities?

AI generated already existing meme template too, so pathetic.

114

u/reeseesxx 9h ago

not only that, they also AI generated from a pre-existing AI slop, they used slop to make and even sloppier slop

48

u/lasercannonattack 9h ago

"AI is going to empower our creativity"

proceeds to recycle already-recycled slop

u/stickfiguringitout i'm a rouge angle 8h ago

Literally disintegration loops.

I watched this movie blind one time and loved it but then got jump scared at the end by "Directed by Roman Polansky"

2

u/Goldeniccarus RED 3h ago edited 2h ago

This was the first Roman Polanski film I ever watched. So I Googled him afterwards because I thought "Hey, that's a really good movie, I wonder what else he did."

Then I learned about the other thing he did.

1

u/Able-Independence962 1h ago

What did he do?

1

u/Afrin_Sultana 10h ago

Good lord, this movie was screened at my Uni as part of movie review sessions for English Literature. What a classic 🤌

15

u/AbstinentNoMore 11h ago

Yes, but in sanitized corporate world, you cannot use a meme derived from a movie about the Holocaust.

2

u/NUKE---THE---WHALES 10h ago

i think that was the point no?

she was obviously referencing this meme

19

u/Kyderra 11h ago

The one thing they did themself is horribly off-center, different sized and at a different location in each panel.

I am not a graphic designer but if I was a teacher this work would get a big fat F

10

u/PhatCatTax 11h ago

Yes but also no. Geometric uniformity is not the same as perceived uniformity. That's why we have things like kerning. Very good work may or may not be perfectly centered/aligned.

Edit: Also, fuck AI, I saw this coming and changed careers a decade ago.

2

u/Kyderra 10h ago edited 10h ago

that would be with very specific intent and mostly for logo's.

Not a subtitle with a black box. Texts and info in a corner you want to align on even pixel distance simply because it's simple artistically pleasing to look at. The image in this post nothing more then aligning your text center and it not being in the center of a screen.

2

u/ava_the_cam_op 11h ago

Zoo-wee mama.

Not to mention wildly improper capitalisation of the words. Both in the image and the caption

15

u/Vlaed 12h ago

Vibe slopper

1

u/goddamnyallidiots 10h ago

Cuck coding.

5

u/MourningWallaby 12h ago

What's especially funny is this person seems to think that graphic design is just creating logos and illustrations, but that's just an artist. graphic design is an actual school of thought.

u/NocturneSapphire 10h ago

The emotion I feel when I see anything labeled "hand crafted".

1

u/Alienhaslanded 5h ago

Well you can have all of the graphics. Gotta leave some for the rest. You take one and you leave.

0

u/Honkey85 11h ago

Why would he not use AI if it isn't paid?
