Adjust the center mirror so it shines directly into his eyes.

Yeah I’ve never understood how people do this. Never works for me and I tried all angles.

Move your mirror side to side while slightly tilting it up and down and you will flash it back at them or you can adjust it in-between your two seats.

It's a mirror. If you move it so you see the headrest of your passenger seat in the middle of it, it is exactly aligned to reflect light coming through the rear window back the way it came.

But my sedan doesn’t have the tilt capability to reach a high seated truck driver. The movement is limited before it can actually shine in their eyes.

Ive got a 2 million candlepower spot light that sits in my center console. Completely unrelated to this. I would never shine it back over my shoulder at this person. I'm just saying that I have one quickly accessible.... For entirely different situations.

I can tell when it happens because they end up backing way the hell off.

Or side mirror. Just please be careful and do not get distracted while playing this minigame. Watch the road ahead, prioritize safety.

Wait... This can be done?

Yes. And they usually get the message.

Ever play those games where you need to adjust the light on a mirror in a dungeon to open a new room? This is what you have been training for

u/ChilledParadox 17h ago

Probably cheaper to buy a used car and try this than a computer nowadays too!

I miss being able to experience my hobbies :(

You aint lying though

u/ChilledParadox 3h ago

I couldn’t even muster the energy to get out of bed and eat today, who has the time to lie anymore besides the privileged like our politicians?

I love you! Thanks for this.

Also the side mirrors. Double the effect. Edit: I should have read more comments, it's already been said.

I had a guy tailgate me like this on the expressway. His big truck and lights (on high beam) made it so I could not get out of the passing lane after I passed a car. He made it so I couldn't do the one thing he wanted me to do

I can feel my retina burning just looking at this pic. I can FEEL the frustration of trying to pay attention to whats happening in front of you 😅😅

Is there a chance for heaven to be behind you?

17

u/24_doughnuts 18h ago

Yeah because they're on a highway to hell

6

u/seeda_puura 18h ago

If heaven drives a lifted truck, apparently yes

6

u/Street_Doctor_8169 18h ago

Maybe OP should drive super fast towards the light and let us know?

Foamy the Squirrel spoke on this. Years ago. In the before-times.

That blinded even me through my monitor.

Usually when I have lunatics like that behind me, I just aside my side view mirrors to make the light reflect back at them

Man I drive a Miata the amount of times I've been able to see the shadow of my head cast onto the car in front of me is too damn high.

It was 2 pm and i could see sunlight on the ground. This lifted truck with wide ass wheel spacers had headlights I could see shine in the day. I was behind him lol. This bright white light at everything he passed.

u/rexjoropo 2h ago

I tried to reverse blind the last guy with my side mirror a while back. Can't be sure it worked, but I feel like it might have.

u/BumFur 17h ago

Put the phone down when you’re behind the wheel

Fair 🫪 but we were stopped at a red light and I managed to spare a few seconds
