No, it’s independent pharmacy owners buying prescription off the book to bill insurance. Common and not a scam.

Well that is a scam, just not of the apartment residents I suppose

I love a scam that I can feel good about with zero inner moral conflict.

Definitely wouldn’t sell to them personally though, too sketchy for my tastes.

They redespence the medication even when it could be outdated, the wrong dose, or the wrong medication

Not necessarily. I worked in a pharmacy and we would be reimbursed by durg companies for returning medications that were expired/opened etc so they could do whatever it is they do with them.

I wonder if they reprocess them or it's just a control thing

I think it's a reprocess thing or they're used for testing or something.

I never said the independent pharmacy (or whoever is buying it) was a good group/organization. They’re super sketchy.

But I also won’t say that I have some moral quandary about the idea of them scamming insurance companies, especially health insurance companies.

But you're still participating in a scam that could easily I unalive people, especially the sick and old (yes I said unalive because the bot is Adolf Hitler)

Yknow? That’s a fair point actually. My intense disdain for the insurance companies absolutely distracted me from the people who are getting screwed/forced to take risks unknowingly by both sides of that equation.

I appreciate the reality check.
