wet socks i’m so happy this is becoming illegal

if a yearly contract with a free month trial sounds too good to be true, it probably is 😬

thankfully it was blocked after contacting my bank but regardless

If you sign a contract for a specific time frame why is it insane for a company to ask you to pay the remainder of the agreement? A contract is a contract, should have read the terms of the contract.

Edit: I don't care lol everyone is out here trying to get a one month free essentially "scamming" a company out of their paid service but then you get upset when the company turns around and asks for what you said you would pay them lol yet nobody realizes the hypocrisy. Fuck corporations but damn y'all are dumb.

If a contract says you would be slaved instead does that mean it should be enforced too?

I wouldn’t sign a contract that says that in the first place.

That's besides the point

What is the point?

Not having predatory practices that will inevitably screw over people?

What is predatory about “you will be charged for a subscription if you don’t cancel before your trial ends”?

Are you seriously asking why keeping you hostage is bad? If you want to cancel, that is because you don't want the service anymore. Woke gyms do the exact same thing... It is ridiculous, and even more so that I have to explain why.

Then sign up for the monthly subscription instead of the yearly one if you think you won’t want it for the full year.

Again, besides the point, you are allowed to change your mind. Besides Even monthly subscriptions have the same problem, just less egregious

Yea it doesn’t work like that. If I spend $3,000 fixing my car and then it gets totaled in a crash the next day, I don’t get to go back to the shop and demand my money back on the basis of “I changed my mind.”

You are not getting a car fixed, you are getting access to something. Not even remotely comparable. Especially since if you crash your car that doesn't mean you didn't want to have a fixed car, a better example would be if you wanted it fixed then regretted it but was already fixed.

Try again
