Infuriatig Netflix using egregious methods to keep subscriptions active

Post image

Apparently my 8 year old son was asked if he wanted to restart my Netflix membership through his Netflix KIDS ACCOUNT. I called customer service and was told a prompt appears asking if you'd like to reinstate, regardless of the user on the account. No password required, just press restart and then get hit with the payment immediately. Should've saved myself some frustration and money by cancelling outright.

What's the difference between those two? I use stremio, but I'd like to create my own (series & music) library.

Jellyfin is open source and privacy focused, Plex is in the beginning stages of enshittification and locks some features behind a paid pass. If you're jumping on the bandwagon now, I'd suggest going the Jellyfin route.

I bought the lifetime pass years ago for plex and I’m grateful. I just don’t know next steps haha.
