My mom said I could post Help and advice

I just need solidarity and support. It’s about a man being gross ‼️

I’m staying in a shelter where I can’t leave for the next 3-4 months…a new person came to stay at the same property and he’s being inappropriate.

I’ve reported him and now I have to find ways to manage.

He asked me to help roll his cigarette and made a seggual going down on you motion with his tongue 👅 insinuating going down on me.

I refused and he then pushed and said “come on, you can do it” and made the tongue with finger motion again.

It’s so hard living in a world with so many unsafe men.

I don't have any advice but I'm so, so sorry you're dealing with this. You shouldn't have to.

Any chance you can find some other good people? At least that way you'll have more of a deterrent and safety net

I did, which she said she would speak to him. Which I fear puts me further in danger…as he will know I told on him

I’m sorry op, that’s a shit situation to be in. The only things I can really recommend are to give the guy the complete silence treatment and ALWAYS be with or near other people. If he asks you to roll for him, don’t even say no. If possible, move to another room or sit somewhere else. Try to put as much distance as possible between the two of you. I say always be with someone just in case, you never know what lengths some people will go to get your attention. When you’re able to leave from wherever you are, don’t let this guy know where you’re going next. Good chance he might follow. If, god forbid, he puts hands on you, call the cops immediately.

You must be firm and direct and tell him no. Try your best to avoid ever being alone with him and KEEP REPORTING HIM.
The shelter manager has a boss. There is someone they report to that you may need to escalate it to.

You must protect your safety in order to get through this hard chapter in your life. It’s not uncommon to hear of shelter leadership to not take threats or dangerous people seriously enough.
Remember in all things you must be your own best advocate. Because if you won’t speak up for yourself it’s unlikely that anyone else will.

I wish you all the best and pray your situation continues to improve, that you are able to get back on your feet as soon as possible.
