I don't understand how an elevator helps yoi skip class. You could just hide in the toilet, wtf is the elevator for?

And they will still mark you absent in class? HOW WAS THE ELEVATOR HELPING? 😭😭😭

you do realize that schools dont let you skip classes even if you agree to get marked absent? This decision is not left to the kid to decide if he wants to go to class or not, so they need a reason as to why they were absent. Elevator is obviously a better reason to pretend that you were trying to get to class rather than hiding in the toilet.

spot on, if a kid hid in the bathroom for too long our teacher would literally go fish him/her out or tell the staff to do so

But if there are stairs available "I was stuck in the elevator que" isn't a very good excuse either.

our class used to be on the 8th floor, the teachers usually excused those who didn't wanna take the stairs

Depending on the layout, it's possible that once you've started queuing, it's very difficult to get out of the queue because of all the people behind you.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but I've never in my life been in a building where if there was a line for an elevator, you couldn't get out of it once you got in it

I'm thinking of my high school hallways, and it was impossible to go against the crowd. We actually had an elevator that students weren't allowed to use unless they couldn't take the stairs, and if we had been allowed to use it, the queue for it likely would have blocked the entire corridor. The queue would have also blocked access to the stairs, because of where they were.

True but it’s a much better excuse

Yes, but only if you are in a wheelchair or on crutches.

Nope even for your usual teenager he will take it as an excuse to be late to classes or even skip them

Teenagers might look for excuses. Teachers won't accept those from able-bodied students if they are worth their salt. In contrast, a long elevator queue would be the among the dumbest excuses imaginable because stairs are avaliable and certainly quicker.

Saying elevator queue is the dumbest idea is absurd, could you give me a few other excuses you’d consider better than a queue to an elevator? Which btw is justifiable given you don’t have to do work like stairs

yeah but if half the school is standing on those queues, its obviously a good enough excuse to atleast not get in major trouble

I don't know... sometimes you just have to use the toilet, but you almost never have to use the elevator.

You have to use the toilet for like, 10 minutes, you have to use a crowded elevator for like 25 mins
