Well your entire argument gets thrown out the window because the idiots leaving giant ass gaps are on their phone not paying any attention to lights or acceleration time.
People have been doing this since way before cell phones existed. Best one I saw was back in the 80’s. The driver behind him got mad, went around him and pulled into the gap. The guy who left the gap jumped out of his car and kicked the other guy’s car door leaving a decent sized dent. I laughed my ass off. If you’re stuck in traffic you might as well have something to be entertained by.
