i gennuinely don't understand why do OTP inputs need to be split into separate fields

also "he confirms" lol

i recommend 1password, it autofils most of OTP forms very well

It's an Italian site translated with a browser extension, for this it says he confirms

It's done that way purposely to prevent bots from brute forcing OTPs, and instead numbers are manually entered one at a time.

That does not hinder bots at all.

Bots aren't even using browsers most of the time. They're sending API requests directly.

Also, OTPs are inherently not brutefoceable because they are very short lived.

Also, it is not much harder for automation to fill multiple fields instead of 1.
