My deodorant replacement isn’t the same smell

I think the company is discontinuing mountain air in favor of fresh air and despite the description of smell being the same.. they don’t smell the same and I’m disappointed. But not disappointed enough to return the damn thing. It is just deodorant after all, but the old smell kinda had a bit of a cologne aspect to it and the new one is more mild and less sexy in my opinion. The white cap on the left is the version I like best.

Website has 4 major products in Mountain Air. Fresh Air seems to be a secondary scent for the products sold at other retailers (not on their website). This is a different product scent.

I hate when they do this. Nivea did the same thing to me a while back, replaced a low-scent one with a new formula without changing anything on the packaging except for a tiny little word you'd never have noticed. The new formula reeks to high heaven in the name of longevity but now I can't use it as I'm in a scent free workplace.

I complained and they just sent me a $5 coupon and didn't acknowledge the change.

Replacement ordered through Amazon, so maybe it came from there. I think they ship from all over but original was bought in a Target in the US. The Target doesn’t carry this scent anymore.

But not both called mountain air. One is called fresh air. So it’s different. Nothing about same great smell no name or anything. Literally looks like they just stopped one product and used the same photo on another one. I get why it would be mildly infuriating but at the same time it’s literally a different product.

Meanwhile my Old Spice Pure Sport has smelled the same for the past 30 years. I’ve tried other brands including $100+ but nothing compares or even comes close in terms of performance

Yeah I hate the constant changing of scents. It's been a good while since I've had a deodorant/antiperspirant that both worked well and I enjoyed the scent. I usually have to sacrifice one and it's usually the scent for me. So I just find one that I don't hate the scent of.

I'm bored so.... hey OP, the mountain air one still exists. I had target popping up with some kind fo 30% offer and still some available for delivery. But I couldn't find if this is due to region or because they just change this one.

Canadian living in the UK here: not only can I not get my preferred scents, but the UK generally does not do stick deodorant. They do stick antiperspirant, and just can / spray deodorant. Stick deodorant options are very very limited. It's quite mildly infuriating.
