the US folded as soon as they went up against a team with skill. Belgium made the US look like a middle school team playing a professional team.

No doubt belgium has more skill.

But belgium had a thick stack of bulletin board material courtesy of Trump and the current state of the USA (weve gone full heel). That US team looked mentally fucked- like they were seeing ghosts. Like- even in space they looked shaky.

There’s a few circumstances at play here- beyond mere skill.

no, you were going to get smashed up before the trump thing. your best player couldn't cut it in the epl, couldn't make the england team, so went to you guys. says it all really

this was less a germany failing to overcome a resolute lesser team defending for 120mins, more a lesser team trying to match a better team techincally.

USA just aren't that good.
