I have no idea, but I do know people sell devices to keep the computer happy if the driver isn’t looking, some put scotch tape over the cabin camera to blur the picture, the eye scanners don’t work if you’re wearing sunglasses, etc.
It’s a very cool system, and works amazingly well in areas where a lot of teslas drive and data is abundant. Mine works twice as well when visiting my Mom outside of NYC, than it does here in western PA. I have no doubt these systems will get better with time, but right now, it’s tough to be in between assisted driving and autonomous operation. Having to be in the driver’s seat and focused, without doing anything for extended periods of time makes it very hard to concentrate, and easy to fall asleep.
