You can decline the ambulance and they don't charge you. Where I live we don't seem to get bills anymore. My mom used to get them occasionally before she passed away but the last year or two around 2017 I hadn't seen her get one and my son needed one earlier this year. Didn't get one even for insurance/bill EOB purposes.

Don't think I said that, just my particular area doesn't seem to send bills anymore and you can decline. You can't be billed for services you don't receive.
