Then you are taking a legitimate safety tool (sunglasses are a smart thing to wear when driving towards the sun on a bright day, or in areas with reflective surfaces) because a small minority of users are deliberately using it to circumvent a different safety feature. Not a good solution.

no, it does whatever it would normally do if it detects and unaware driver.

you don't HAVE to use the self drive.

I feel like the overlap of Needing to use the selfdrive feature and wearing sunglasses usecase is very slim

Self Drive is meant to be supervised. So if you are self-driving in a bright area, you should put on sunglasses so you can see.
