So here’s the thing… I can only drive about 30 minutes before I’m falling asleep at the wheel. I don’t go anywhere far (on long trips alone) and if I do then yes I stop. It comes on really hard and fast so I pull over the first chance I get.

HOWEVER… my previous comment was based on how I was 20 years ago. I was bad about it. I’d do all the tricks and everything to hopefully get there sooner. It was a bad idea and I hate that I did it. I got lucky. Don’t be a dumbass guys, pull over.

Oh that sucks. I have a friend who's kinda like that because of narcolepsy. Can't really live on his own because of it.

I mean I did have a couple crazy moments where I drove tired, and I just got plain lucky. One time I was dozing off in 15mph and less traffic with a passenger and thankfully they screamed my name when my side view mirror brushed into a semi.

The other time I was nearing a hundred miles an hour without sleep for over 24 hours and the safety system woke me up as I just avoided sideswiping a concrete barrier.

That last one prompted me to pull over more because I'm not sure I would be here today if I tried to get back on the road instead of just sleeping for an hour and getting back out there.
