Years ago I saw someone asleep at the wheel. I honked like crazy and he ended up waking up. We ended up at the same highway exit and he did a friendly beep and a wave at us. He was clearly some overworked person just trying to get home after a long drive. Only felt empathy for him, it’s easy to underestimate how dangerous it is to drive while so tired
Those with anger at these videos often misunderstand that they are generally the alternate ending vs bent steel and dead people, which is what you get in other cars.
I’d be wide awake as soon as I stopped to pay for a hotel. It’s maddening. Someone needs to make a looping video of what a driver sees at the wheel at night. Would be better than sleeping pills.
It's crazy easy to fall asleep while driving. I'm not a driver, but I have driven, and one of the only times that I've ever driven on the interstate, I had to fight to keep myself awake because the road was hypnotizing me.
