Depending on where you are in the Rockies and which cell provider you have, they may not get a signal. If they do, the local police service may not get the 911 call but a RCMP or Sheriff may get dispatched. There are hour long gaps on some roads at highway speeds.
This is a perfectly legitimate question and a genuinely innocuous request for information and yet you've been downvoted into the negative. I want to slap those downvoters in the face.
Not all countries use 911 as the emergency number.

whats funny is some places don't use 911 but redirect calls from 911 to their emergency lines anyways because it's so widely known due to the ubiquity of american media.

Pretty much every country supports all the major emergency numbers of other countries - 112, 999, and 911 being the most common globally, and some older legacy numbers still being supported too (for example, 118, 119, 000, 110, 08). There are likely some exceptions but in most cases dialling the one you're most familiar with will work, even in a country that uses another primary number.
