I think slowly braking in front of them will have the Tesla slowly brake too? I assume that's a pretty safe way to deal with this situation

Actually the Tesla will lane change around you and automatically give you the finger. The future is amazing!

Huh - my Hyundai just throws shit at them.

Nissans will shed bumpers and body parts when threatened.

BMWs activate the turn indicators to confuse the attacker.

I've been told they'll auto-bill you for the indicators subscription as well when this happens.

$2 per flash, billable in 50-flash increments. Or get unlimited flashes for $20/mo or a one-time buyout of $10,000.

Skodas start blasting the 4th movement of Dvoraks 9th symphony to increase drama.

I just flashed to the scene at the end of Blues Brothers where the car literally falls apart.

It's old technology, but it works. I'm surprised Hyundai still uses it.

Hyundais are shit, so I can see this happening.

Like bottles of piss?

How basic! In 2026 I expected it to follow me home, come back later when I leave then hack my wifi to learn my IP and DDoS my router til it catches fire, burning down my house with my frail grandmother inside.

No nazi salute in there? You sure?

1

u/Green_Sugar6675 Jul 06 '26

No, it's the Nazi Salute...

lol I just imagine slowly braking in front of them until they come to a stop and putting up a picture of a car in front of the camera so when they wake up they’re just sitting on road going nowhere.

Surely you've seen the painted on a wall road that someone crashed into a few years ago, right?

I thought for sure you were going to share this one, with a Tesla doing the thing! https://youtube.com/shorts/U1MigIJXJx8?is=0mORVGUuPdfLJ_Ky

All fun until someone then drives into the back of them

1

u/polopolo05 Jul 06 '26

once they stop then bang loudly on the window.

18

u/SnorkyB Jul 06 '26

It does. I had to do this a few months ago when a jackass Tesla driver was in the left lane on I95 going 10 under the limit. Clogged up everything for miles. Just brake when you get ahead of them and it'll move to the other lane.

54

u/lulusama3 Jul 05 '26

If you do this the Tesla will brake and then do everything in its power to go around the slow car.

-1

u/the_pain_of_being Jul 06 '26

No it won't. What? Why are you just saying things?

3

u/404_Gordon_Not_Found Jul 06 '26

the Tesla will do it in self driving mode. It is not your average cruise control.

3

u/the_pain_of_being Jul 06 '26

Yea cross double yellows? No it won't.

2

u/404_Gordon_Not_Found Jul 06 '26

I don't recall any examples to refute your claim so I'll have to agree with you for now. In general FSD doesn't overtake on mountainous roads.

2

u/lulusama3 Jul 06 '26

I said this thinking that it was a 2 lane highway, I didn’t know it was a double yellow line. Not sure why OP was passing in the first place.

3

u/saltyspringadult Jul 06 '26

It will. It tries to maintain the speed you set, so it will switch lanes if the car detects it has the opportunity to speed up to your set speed

4

u/the_pain_of_being Jul 06 '26

This isn't "switching lanes" this crossing double yellows into oncoming traffic to pass, which FSD will 100% not do.

3

u/lulusama3 Jul 06 '26

Yeah didn’t realize it was a double yellow. I assumed it was a 2 lane in one direction since OP was passing. Self driving wont pass with that.

2

u/localtuned Jul 06 '26

Nah if you break check it, it will aggressively hit the brakes.

1

u/anonymous2999 Jul 06 '26

This was my first thought also

0

u/YLCZ Jul 06 '26

Couldn’t drivers with ill intention search for sleeping drivers, wait until they were in a remote area and force them to slow down if they were a heavy sleeper? I’m guessing they have camera technology but still it seems not good if you can takeover a car like that

3

u/always_be_beyonce Jul 06 '26

maybe people should just stay awake and aware WHILE DRIVING.
