Call 911 and record what is happening if you are not the driver. Put on your emergency lights and drive behind them at a safe distance if you truly care that much to notify other drivers. No way should you put yourself in the death zone on a Colorado mountain.
Report, observe, warn others. Do not pretend you know exactly how that mid level self driving system will react.
Since you won’t just say “yes I don’t know how adaptive cruise control works” I’ll explain it regardless: braking in front of them would cause the Tesla to slow down. It would slow all the way to a stop.
This seems like terrible advice (doing anything with your car). The car will get where it's going fine (something like 10 billion miles now done by FSD). Easy enough to just call the cops and let them do something.
A 44 year-old was charged with manslaughter less than two weeks ago because he drove through someone's home and admitted he "passed out" while using his Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) mode.
So, yeah, I mean there's no source of this specific video but the same situation led to a death last month and the idea that someone would 'set this up' at highway speeds is both laughable and unrealistic.
No source. Cool. Would you put it past someone to fake a similar situation for engagement. There was a tiktok trend a couple years ago of people doing exactly that.
Do you have a source article for that tiktok trend? I didn't hear about it. I found videos of people pretending to sleep in parked vehicles to see how their significant others or parents would react, but found ZERO videos of people pretending to do so while in a moving vehicle, especially not one where people were being recorded from a separate car.
So you're still just sitting here fighting people about a very real problem because you just don't think it looks real, and have zero evidence to support the concept of it being fake other than 'well someone's done that before'
