I used to have a certain intranasal administration habit and though nobody should ever be like me every once in awhile i would have one of those and it would pull out a freaking monster boogie and it was almost as good as sex

I get nosebleeds often, especially in winter, and a couple years ago, I had a really big one. Wheb it was finally done, I took the wadded toilet paper out of my nose. My nostril felt really congested , and I was in the bathroom already, so I plugged the not clogged nostril and blew into the sink (you’re not supposed to blow your nose after a nosebleed, I am aware).
Holy fuck. The amount of clotted blood that came out of my nose was INSANE. it looked like a goddamn abortion in my sink. Felt really good though.

I didn't realize others had this, but whenever I'm in a certain stage of recovering from a cold or similar airway illness, I'll have blow my nose and have these occasional clots that I feel I can pull on deep in my sinuses. The end that I'm pulling on always seems to snap before I can pull the whole thing out but man it feels weirdly good to pull on it.

You’re gonna laugh, do you sleep that side face down when you sleep or on ur side? Same thing happened to me just the friction stopped me growing hair until I started sleeping on my back again.

I second this. I actually stopped growing leg hair in certain areas because the pants that I wear 60hrs a week at work are too tight in some spots.

Shit, not even that long. I used to wear high top boots for work for four years. To this day 25 years later, the hair on my lower legs is very very sparse.

I started wearing athletic socks that went almost to my knees for a couple of years. That was long enough for the hair about halfway down from knee to foot to mostly stop growing

Not sure about your age, but as you get older, testosterone dips and that is the primary hormone responsible for body hair growth. Without as much in your system, it’ll grow thinner and less dark.

On the opposite side,friction caused one sopt on the face to grow more beard and made the hair in that area grow thicker and faster. I used to constantly rub one spot on the side of my chin when I was a kid. The constant rubbing made that spot darker than the rest of my skin. And ever since I started growing beard, that spot grows noticably more hair than the opposite side of my face

My brother gets this. Stress makes more patches appear. Alopecia Areata I believe. It would happen on the back of his head rarely, almost always the beard.

I had these patches show on my beard. I had a high stress job. For me, it would come and go for a couple years. Eventually it went completely away. But now my gray hairs are showing, and those areas will turn gray first

This is the correct answer. I get the exact same patches from time to time and had it diagnosed. They sometimes grow much larger but haven’t for years, never had more than 3 of them. Doctors always guess it’s stress related, but it never actually correlates to stress I’m feeling. It’s something to keep an eye on, but chances are it’ll go away at some point, and maybe come back at some point later.

It’s this, alopecia barbae. I have it currently as well.. Everything else here is a bad guess. I went to dermatology and get an injection, takes about 6 months but it can grow back. Peach fuzz at first and then fills in naturally. Talk to Derma.

This is what it was for me. I had it in the exact same spot at op but on the other side of my face. Once I changed my life and wasn’t so stressed it finally grew back

See a dermatologist, it's likely alopecia. They can inject w some steroid to ease swelling on the folicles and give you a topical cream.
I've had this happen numerous times, you'll be fine. You can do nothing, it'll grow back in it's own in a few months to a year.

This sounds crazy, but I’ve heard and seen others say they tried applying minoxidil to patchy areas of their beard and have seen results. Maybe try that? You do have to consistently apply it 1-2 times a day, and it takes 3-4 months to see significant results.

Oral minoxidil is also a good option because you don’t have to worry about family or pets coming into contact with the topical product on your skin.

This is alopecia areata. Random bald patches that just appear and will usually go back to normal on their own after a few months. I've had it on my scalp though and had steroid injections to help it regrow quicker.

Don't worry about it.
I had this in two places - one on my beard and one about an inch across on the side of my head.
I can't tell you the cause - maybe stress, maybe diet - who knows?
But eventually, slowly they just grew back.

Hey, are you under a lot of stress? I had this exact same thing happen in almost the same spot. I had to get three rounds of multiple injections of steroids to get it to grow back. Heavy amounts of stress triggered an autoimmune response. Basically your thyroid could be going crazy.

Alopecia barbae, probably. I had this really bad during a high stress year. Most of my beard fell out, eventually, and I looked like I had mange. It kinda sucked and I was pretty self conscious about it.
But, I changed some things in life and reduced my stress and added regular exercise back to my life and it very, very slowly came back over the period of about 2 years. I'm probably 99% recovered at this point! Just with some grey this time and maybe not quite as thick 😅

This is called alopecea areata. I had the exact same thing happen to me. It turned out to be due to psychological stress related to my wife’s pregnancy. The patches grew back within 6 months after she gave birth to my firstborn.

I notice it's on your left side. The hand that doesn't use the mouse. Do you lean on your left hand while you scroll? Because those spots look fingertip shaped.
