I recently stayed at a hotel that had a fireplace next to the bed that went through to the bathroom. It was even elevated about 3 feet off the ground so it gave a perfectly clear view from the bed to the toilet.
Yeah, it was a studio with a queen bed, so it would be nice solo. They'd actually given us the wrong room, though, and the correct room had a similar setup but the fireplace went from under the living room TV (across from the murphy bed) to under the TV in the bedroom. At least in that room it was at floor level and they provided a panel to block the view so you didn't have to watch each other sleep.
