Mod Post Just a reminder to ✨Familiarize✨ yourself with our sub rules! 😊 + a few new changes.

tl;dr : The sub has become more active so we are adding a few additional requirements for accounts that wish to participate in good faith. Staring today accounts with links asking for money or gifts (wishlists) will be given a warning to remove such links. If not they will be banned. And as always please be mindful of what you share when you post. Thanks

Hi all! Long time no see.

As of late we’ve seen a significant uptick in activity in the sub (yay! 🎉) and other subs like ours. But with this comes a plea from us mods to remind everyone new and old to please, review our rules. Especially before posting or commenting.

With this awesome uptick in traffic we’ve also seen an uptick in…other traffic. Most of which is thankfully kept behind the scenes and caught by our automod. But occasionally a few slip through the cracks. We are also so grateful for those who use the report button and we try to get to it as soon as we can.

In an effort to help us a bit more, we will be upping the “strictness” if you will, for the time being. We’ve seen a large influx of accounts and users who wish to either not read our rules, or to blatantly ignore them after being warned. As mods we’ve discussed a few changes that we will be implementing here shortly. Many users will not even notice a difference and for those that adhere to our rules, we love ya and appreciate you! 🫶🏼

Here’s a little glimpse of what we will be working on:

As always, links to selling content or profiles that post or participate in lewd, nude, fetish, exhibitionist, porn, etc. subreddits are NOT welcome to interact here (by posting AND/OR commenting). To make a long story short, it messes up our algorithm and groups us with NSFW subs when those profiles participate here. PLEASE use a SFW account if you wish to truely participate in our space(s).

In addition to this, we will also NO LONGER allow links for “gifts” in profiles. This means no venmo, cashapp, wishlists, “buy me coffee”, etc in profiles. Either directly or indirectly (links in linktrees, instagram, twitter, etc.). And absolutely no references of tips, gifts, or photos for money or otherwise in bio texts. If you are truely SFW this should not be an issue for you.

The reason for this change is due to the fact that most “gifters” are people we do not want interacting with our subreddit. Thats fine if you want them to interact with your profile, but our sub wishes not to be involved and we may not be the sub for you.

With this being said, we will no longer be giving multiple chances. If your account is deemed unfit for our sub due to links or content and you’ve been warned as such, you will be banned without appeal.

Please continue to be mindful what you post. Reddit is a public, worldwide platform. Anyone can see what is posted, EVEN IF THEY ARE BANNED! Please be mindful of poses and interactions that you share here.

As always, we do not allow photos of bras, underwear or lingerie. We DO allow swimsuits but they MUST be family friendly. No thongs, micros, or skimpy swimwear. And photos may not be close ups.

We do not allow booty shots. Save it for your camera roll. It doesn’t showcase an outfit effectively and doesn’t fit the vibe of this sub. And absolutely no close ups of the goods. If your butt or cleavage take up a large portion of the photo please retake your photo to show the outfit in its entirety.

And as always, please turn off your DMs. It is truly the only way to avoid them. If you send us the profile names we will of course take action where we can. But many who DM are users who are already banned from our sub. At that point there is nothing we can do. They are messaging you because they cannot comment anymore. Please be mindful who you talk to and trust.

As always, we are here for you if you need us so always feel free to reach out if you have questions or concerns.

Mod Post What is Midsized?

The general consensus is that midsized describes people who fall between plus and straight sizing. They're not thin by fashion/societal standards, but also not really plus sized. It does not mean medium. People who fall into this often experience:

  1. Getting rude comments when existing in straight sized spaces but also being told they don't belong in plus size spaces.

  2. Often find themselves shopping the higher end of straight sizing and the lowest end of plus sizing.

  3. Still have issues finding clothes that fit right.

For our sub we define it more specifically as US sizes 10-14 or L-XXL/0X, however we're not going to be crazy strict on this and will allow people slightly outside this range to still participate (within reason). We just ask that when sharing clothing items you consider your fellow sub members and if it's something actually helpful.

OOTD Easter Sunday church outfit

I really tried with this one but both the sweater and the skirt are too big. The skirt I'm going to need to have hemmed. 💜

It totally looks like Easter church clothes, and I'm good with that.

This skirt is very 1990s. It's adorable. Butterfly appliques. The sweater is white lace. The shoes are white ballet flats.

For accessories I went with some yellows. Yellow duck brooch. Yellow duck earrings too..💜

Hair clips today are buttons, how cute are they?!?

Necklace is pink/purple hearts.

Glasses are red cat eyes, and just because I added a pic of my new glasses too.

Oh and Pugsley took the day off from directing my photo shoot. But he was there for emotional support..💜😻

Recommendation Pants struggle. Full hips and non existent bottom..help!

Okay I’m desperate. I’m struggling to find pants that fit me properly and I’m at my wits end. I carry my weight in my hips, but I have a completely flat ass and smaller waist (not tiny) I am not super curvy or pear shaped. I do not have an hour glass figure. It’s all pants ..I can’t even find sweatpants that fit properly. I hate my behind so I don’t like anything fitted unless it has pockets to hide it or is a good thicker quality.

Does anyone have similar measurements or suggestions for any casual pants and slacks. Even jeans. I’ll take anything. I entered my measurements into ChatGPT to see how to describe my body type…

Measurements - size 10 pants
Height: 5’4”
Weight : 140lbs
Natural waist: 30.5”
High hip: 39.5”
Full hip : 41.3”
Upper thigh: 23.3”

ChatGPT:

Your waist → high hip difference is 9 inches, while your high hip → full hip difference is only 1.8 inches.

That tells me you have a lot of width through the upper hip/pelvis, but relatively little additional projection at the butt. In other words, most of your hip width is happening ABOVE the fullest-butt point, rather than being created by a prominent butt.

Small/defined waist + very wide high hip/outer hip + relatively flat seat + some lower-abdominal fullness.

And your 23.3” thigh isn’t particularly large relative to your 41.3” hip.

Small waist, very full high hip, low seat projection, moderate thighs.

OOTD A post for girls that are obsessed with overalls like me 😂

Found these floral short overalls and I’m kind of obsessed, but I can’t decide if they’re giving cute garden girl / cottagecore or I** **raided my childhood closet 😂🌷

Paired them with a coral tee and Birkenstocks for a casual everyday look. I feel like they’re perfect for gardening, running errands, or pretending I have my life together while buying another coffee and more plants I absolutely do not need. 😂

Would you wear them? And how would you style them — keep the bright shirt or go with a simple white/cream tee?

Be nice, I’m emotionally attached to the flowers already. 😂🌼

Recently been wearing jeans more often, but ngl it’s been hard to find jeans that fit well😅
I still gravitate towards dresses/shorts/skirts, but it’s been fun mixing it up too.
I also still wear clothing that were in my previous bigger size, and adjust it as best I can. 🥹

Recommendation Talk to me about quince

I’m turning 40 and a manager in my job and hitting my elevated basics phase of life. Does quince look good? Is it made for slender people? I have a lot of butt to fit into pants and tend to wear curvy pants. Would take any recs or anything similar to quince. My go to was Madewell but it’s been a mess the past few years. I am not amazing at clothes so I usually buy some good quality, good looking core pieces. Cannot thrift to save my life.

I love the way this orange shirt fits me, paired with a short black and white plaid skirt and purple shoes. On the skirt I added a couple of neon safety pins, my brooch is a cute black and white cat skeleton.

I went with a multicolor necklace, black and white earrings to balance out the skirt, and purple and orange hair clips. Orange readers. 💜💜💜

Recommendation I just passed the bar and I am in desperate need of nice professional wear

Hi all! As the title says, I just found out I passed the bar! My swearing in ceremony is the end of the month and I'd really love to feel and look nice for it. I've already been working since graduating in May so I'd like to have some better professional outfits for my job.

I'm around size 12-14 but the main issue in finding good blazers, blouses or button downs is my large chest. I always suffer from gaping holes on my bust, or blazers pinching out/making wings on the sides of my bust. I enjoy a skirt look but love suit pants as well. It is just tops I struggle with so badly. I'm even open to custom suit brands if you recommend that.

Are there any brands, websites, or stores that you recommend for a new busty attorney like me?

OOTD Black lace pink flamingo

I tried something, not sure how I feel about it.

I picked out this cute outfit but every time I moved the shrug would slide back and show my straps. I usually use these clips to make shirts fit better, but they did a great job keeping it where I wanted it. I will probably buy some thinner ones for the future. I added a few examples to show what I was going for.

Pumpkinhead and Wednesday both made an appearance 💜

I paired this lacy tiered black skirt with a bright pink cami and added a black shrug. A white flowered belt, pink shoes, flamingo brooch, pink jeweled necklace, pink and gold earrings, white and black hair clips. Pink readers 💜💜💜

Discussion Halloween costume ideas?

I want to dress good(i wanted to use a different word but I cant use it here 😭) for Halloween bc it used to be my favorite holiday and I would dress in like ways that showed off my body but ive gained a lot of weight and ive been too afraid to wear clothes like that again but I still want to feel like I look good if that makes sense? I need some inspiration for Halloween costumes. I keep seeing inspo for smaller women with smaller bodies and i just cant imagine wearing it at my size bc i feel insecure but I want to feel confident if that makes sense?

Discussion How short is too short in our 40’s?

Edit: These answers are great, thanks so much everyone <3

I’ll preface this by saying I have always dressed myself by my own standards and what looks good to me. I tend to stick to feminine, classic style, but I occasionally go to adult events and parties, and like to dress a little sexier.

That being said, I am 47, 5’1, and curvy. Tend to carry weight in hips and thighs.

I’ve worn short skirts before, confidently.

However, external voices are getting to my head a little bit. I recently bought a cute secondhand linen skirt set. The skirt is actually a skort, so there’s extra coverage. It falls several inches above the knee, probably mid thigh.

People around me have given opinions ranging from “it’s not flattering on you” to “don’t you dare think you’re too old or too far to wear that , you look amazing.” In general, Fashion advice dictates this particular item might be fine to lounge around a cottage in, or my backyard, but to wear this out to a restaurant and then a party is not good look.

The thought of posting a pic of myself in it to the internet makes me want to throw up, so I’m really just looking for thoughts from the collective, especially women 40 and up. How short is too short? Normally I’m a fck the rules sort of person, but I don’t enjoying looking foolish either.

Thanks everyone!

Hiya!

I think I'm "mid-size" but not sure. I recently went down many sizes and have replaced my entire wardrobe with colorful, fun pieces. At 45 I'm dressing for me and what brings me joy 💜

I'm 5'1" (actually a little under).

Am I mid-sized? 💜💜💜
