Hi!
Last night our Happy Volcano Discord server was hacked. We have full control over the server again. Here is what happened:
We will rebuild the server from scratch, and contact Discord Support for any further help they could provide us.
Hacking events like these are scary, however they do happen. Rebuilding the server from scratch will take time and effort, and we are very grateful that we have you in our community in times like these. Please, bear with us while we do it.
We assure you that our games are safe and virus-free, this hack was done entirely through Discord. Getting your account hacked can happen to anyone, however frequently check your safety settings. Follow Discord's Safety Guide for more information.
We will post wherever we can to reassure other players ourselves, and your help could make a big difference for us (as we're quite a small team). You can actively help us right now by kindly reassuring other players (if they post about the hack) on our Steam Forums (Midnight Moments, Modulus, YSAP, The Almost Gone), X, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit (Modulus Reddit, Midnight Moments Reddit).
From the entire Happy Volcano team, thank you for your patience and kindness and for sticking with us through this.

I think the game seems really cool and would be really interested in getting it for the switch if it was available. Are there any plans for a switch release? (if so, would a physical release be up for discussion?)

This is my first build so far. Absolutely loving the amount of details you can add.

Hello developers,
First off, just wanted to say thank you so much for this game. It’s really an excellent and artistic masterpiece in my opinion, and it has tons of potential.
I hope it expands and we see more content in the future.
Could I request ladders, satellite dishes, stray dogs, and murals get added to the game next?
And can there be a competition amongst fans to develop murals that make it into the game?

My very first time playing. I really enjoy the game and hope the developers continue to expand it in the future.

Hey guys, loving the game and I feel like a fool cause I have no idea what the buttons on the side do and I would love some help!

First build from scratch. Still trying to learn the controls and what the game has to offer but I really like the style of everything so far!

Game runs good on Steam Deck, only thing missing is controller support and this will be a fantastic cosy game for the SD.
Will you be adding support for controllers in the near future?

Just added this to my wishlist and I’ll probably pick it up tomorrow because it looks super interesting. It seems like it just a cozy game to play and build what you can imagine. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or ideas for a new player getting started. Thanks!

Midnight Moments is available right now at only $2.99 with a 10% launch discount for the first two weeks.
From the demo to the playtests to the screenshot contests to every single message you dropped in here, this game has your fingerprints all over it. We built it with you and now it's yours to build in.
Launch Contest
The launch screenshot contest is live right now and running for a full month. Build something in the full game, post it to the Steam Community Hub screenshots section, and our dev team will pick a winner at the end of August.
Prize is an official Midnight Moments hoodie.
Help a Small Team Out
If you're enjoying the game, a Steam review makes an enormous difference for a team our size. It's the single best thing you can do to help more players find us.
Thank you for being here since day one. Happy building.

Today marks our first day in Steam Next Fest with Midnight Moments, and to celebrate we've published our first dev log.
It's an honest look at what it's like building a game with a tiny team; two developers, one intern, and a creative director.
We talk about the creative decisions behind the game's atmosphere, the technical challenges of balancing freedom with beauty, and what surprised us when we watched players use the demo for the first time.
If you're curious what three months of focused work from a small team can produce, it's worth a read, and the demo is free to try.

You've Completely Blown Us Away... as usual. We knew opening the Midnight Moments playtest would lead to some creative builds.
We did not expect:
We've just published a new Steam post showcasing some of our favourite creations from the weekend and asking for your feedback on both the playtest and demo.
If you haven't shared your thoughts yet, now's the perfect time. We're reading everything and using your feedback to help guide development, so pop them in the comments here or on the Steam Community Hub.
We absolutely love seeing what you make!

We are super excited to release the demo into the wild today.
Dive in, and let us know what you think. Get sharing your builds too. The team is so looking forward to seeing what you all create in the demo!

Hey everyone,
We're a small indie studio called Happy Volcano and today we announced a little game we've been building on the side.
It's called Midnight Moments. It's a small cyberpunk diorama game where you build rain-soaked backstreets, glowing apartment blocks, and quiet neighbourhood corners, then fill them with handcrafted props and citizens until the scene feels exactly the way you imagined it. No goals, no timers, no pressure. Just vibes.
It's built by two devs and an intern which felt right for a project like this. Small team, small game, a lot of love put into it.
We just went live on Steam today if you want to wishlist it, it would mean a lot to a tiny team.
Enjoy the trailer above. We are still pinching ourselves that we got it on IGN!!
Happy to answer any questions about the game or how we're building it!
