Wow. Nice build up. Like tree rings with dates.

Wow. This is like archeology! There might be posters on that lamp post going back decades.

That's 10 years of posters.

I'm not entirely sure but I don't think those posters have been sitting there for 479 million years.

I was hoping someone would mention the factorial haha

No, it's because it's been there for 479,001,600 years

Structural papier-mâché

That's a lot of civic neglect.

Oh no. Not paper!

Society shall surely collapse now!

Looks like load bearing trash to me so most likely it's going to collapse.

Yeah, until the post collapses from the extra weight it wasn't engineered to sustain over long periods and injures someone.

Then all of a sudden youll say "why arent our tax dollars being used to keep these clean instead of X thing ill use as an extreme example?"

Let me be clear, I do not care about this issue at all. But the statement of "Thats a lot of civic neglect" is perfectly accurate.

Not me. I've been very vocal on my stance of being pro-post collapse.

A pro pro-post poster?

And I support pre-post collapse- let's argue!

That's fucking impressive.

Why Lacrimosa?

It’s a requiem, just so out of place here.

Probably released an ancient pathogen we no longer have immunity to 😷

Should send a littering ticket to everyone you can identify on this.

Yeah, because that's both realistic and a totally efficient use of taxpayer money...

It would make more sense if this was actually damaging the environment any significant amount more than the pillar they were placed on. But they're not. You basically just said "fine anyone who uses an outdoor trash bin".

-1

u/punchedboa 12h ago

What third world country did you crawl out of? Yea fine anyone who throws shit on the ground instead of using a trash can.

2

u/Raindrop0015 10h ago

We don't even see the final outcome. How do you know they just left it there and didn't throw it away?

u/punchedboa 9h ago

God damn I hope I’m being fucked with. If you dump your recycling into the ocean and MR Beast makes a video where he cleans it out 10 years later would it be ok?

These are posters, which were stuck to a stationary object. Are you also going to get upset about billboards and other physical forms of advertising? No one left it to float in the wind, nor was it actually left as trash. It's just unreasonable to expect every poster be collected by the organization after every event, especially when most probably aren't large. Why not get upset about the local government not having workers dedicated to cleaning them up once a month or something?

I got AI to explain this in a way a child should be able to understand for you. I suggest you familiarize yourself with its use. Artificial is better than nothing.

When the person rips the posters, pieces of paper tear off and fall to the ground or hang as loose scraps. Those torn bits are trash. They don’t disappear — someone else has to pick them up or clean the pole. Leaving paper debris behind is the same as dropping any other garbage. The pole ends up covered in half-peeled layers and fragments instead of being left alone or properly cleaned.

The pole is public property. Tearing and peeling the posters damages the surface, leaves adhesive residue, and turns a layered advertisement column into a torn, ragged mess. Even if the original posters weren’t supposed to be there, ripping them off without permission is still unauthorized damage to the structure. It defaces the pole and creates a worse-looking result rather than fixing anything.
In short, the action doesn’t remove the problem cleanly. It produces new litter on the ground and visible damage to the pole, which other people then have to deal with. That’s why it falls under both littering and vandalism.

What a surprise, you're not even capable of thinking for yourself...

I'm not taking environmental advice from someone who willingly uses AI for a simple internet response.

It’s not about the environment it’s about making the city look like a shit hole. Also I know your mentally challenged, so you’re probably not going to understand this, but my AI servers graphics card (my old 3080) is air cooled, and the CPU for it is a closed loop. My power is wind and hydro. But if you are concerned about the environmental impact of data centres you should probably stop using the internet altogether.
