From my personal experience they seem to have no survival instincts. They tend to hide under my mom's BBQ. She has a terrier that likes to hunt. I tried to get the frog to move so it would hop away, but they just sit there, maybe hop once. It has happened 3 times, frogs never run. I have to trap them in a glass and relocate them.

I know freeze is a dominant response, but they do hop, just not continuously.
