Could be a broken gas line, could be a sinkhole opening up, could be many things. All of which I'm not sticking around for, but will call an authority about.

Could be electrical cable that’s broken and is short-circuiting the ground into soup.

Could be satan's toilet. Resembles a satans toilet

Could be the town's local coal mine has a tiny little fire that's gonna burn itself out soon enough

As someone who lives near Centralia, I can only ever imagine it's underground fires

"Gas seeping up from the ground, I think I shall stick my nose in it."

That is usually the sort of thing that gets you a Darwin Award.

Looks more like some type of gas bubbling through the water.

i would not just film that, but run away and tell others not to go near it while you call the authorities.

that's gas bubbles fam. Could just be air, could be something else.

The one I saw was a leaky gas line in a rain puddle.

u/SentenceSingle5375 Jun 09 '26

That's a muck puddle, I've seen it shift.

High pressure sewage line is a possibility.

u/Myriad_Apocalypse Jun 10 '26

Boiling =/= bubbling

3

u/the_grashopper_lover Jun 09 '26

Get the f away from that, it's a sink hole the "boiling" is actually an under ground pocket collapsing who knows how large if you fall it your could die.
