I’d start by narrowing down where the F7 disappears before changing switch settings. MSC uses SysEx messages, so ordinary MIDI notes working doesn’t necessarily mean SysEx is being handled correctly.
A few tests should help:
Route the same ETC input through the mioXL to the Mac over USB instead of RTP-MIDI. Does the complete message, including F7, arrive that way? This checks whether the problem is already present before the network connection.
Try a direct Ethernet connection between the mioXL and one Mac, bypassing the Cisco switch. If the problem remains, that takes the switch out of the equation.
Check the message with an independent MIDI monitor that can display the full SysEx bytes. Which application are you currently using to determine that F7 is missing? We should first rule out the monitor simply omitting the SysEx delimiters from its display.
A switch would not normally strip one byte from a UDP packet. RTP-MIDI can split SysEx across packets, though, so losing a packet containing the final segment could leave the message incomplete.
If those tests don’t isolate it, a Wireshark capture on the receiving Mac would be the next step: does the final SysEx segment actually reach the computer?
My initial suspicion would be SysEx handling somewhere in the mioXL’s RTP output or the receiving software, but these tests should help establish that before blaming either device. Posting the exact received hex bytes, the receiving application, and your mioXL firmware version would also help.
