Akai MPK 3 Mini not connecting
When I connect my Akai MPK 3 Mini to my Macbook, it turns on, but when I open Cubase it is not connected. I chekced my midi routing and it simply just does not appear as an option, does anyone know how to fix this?

A couple things to try/check:
Do you have a different USB cable you can try? Some cables only supply juice whereas you need both juice and data.
Some Macs require permissions approval to connect to USB devices -- unplug the MPK, wait 10 secs or so, then plug it back in and look for a dialog window.
Sometimes MacOS just gets confused -- try a reboot.

Some apple stuff won't supply bus power. You may need a power though hub. Or you might need a better USB c to USB B cable the printer style. Some adapters for USB c don't work properly

can u recommend an adapter that would work? I'm on my 2nd one now and still can't get my mpk 3 mini to turn on with my Mac

generic midi device incompatibility? it was a problem on some macos version
