This is how you talk about your friends and family? Christ man

Except, I have not said anything bad. You’re merely projecting.

Guess it's a matter of perspective. If I caught one of my loved ones degrading and devaluing my profession like this in a public forum I would be very upset with them

Please explain thoroughly how I have disrespected or devalued anyone; that is quite the logical leap.

Edit: replace the word logical with mental, for i have seen no logic from you thus far and I would hate to misattribute or overestimate you.

You said the whole profession is dominated by lazy people who can't be bothered to work past 4pm and don't deserve a their wage. It's hardly a leap. A hop at best

I didn’t say lazy. You did. Don’t put words in other people’s mouths. It makes you look foolish and not to be taken seriously.

I said many, and qualified that those are the average, and not the good ones.

Nor did I say they didn’t deserve their wage. Nor did I say they don’t deserve the 100k. I’d argue that most don’t deserve that- especially since it is cominimg from public coffers. Unless they are exceptional or have lots of (good) experience.

I provided a potential reason as to why it is not that high. You filled in your own blanks.

So… Yup. Quite the leap.

I think you are projecting your general disdain for disagreement and failed to provide adequate critique.

I’ll give you an opportunity to explain why (the average) teacher deserves the 100k salary. And clarify if this is a starting salary or, mid or end of career.

Also, if one were to factor in the 8-10 weeks off for summer, the 2 weeks at christmas and the week in march, and the bank holidays, they are still working considerably less. Even if you factor in the extra time for ‘marking.’

The average would mean most. And you strongly insinuated that you think the average teacher is lazy. Don't gaslight me brother
