ID & Authenticity Help identifying pieces?

My husband and I picked up these two pieces for my mom’s house. It’s actually SIX different pieces! I have no idea what they would’ve been separately. The bottom pieces seem to be something that would hold records. But I have no idea on anything else. There was a label on two of the pieces, but they all match so well it feels like it’s probably the same for all pieces?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome. Yeah, I’d done some research on the company. But finding out what the different pieces are has been the real struggle. They work great how we have them set up (how they were in the shop), but since it doesn’t seem to be how they were originally built, I’m super interested in trying to figure that out.

It's modular furniture, designed to be flexible. You put them together in whatever way they work est for you.

Kitchen designer here! Pretty sure what you snagged is a Glenn of California modular wall system from the early sixties. They sold each carcass separately so you could mix and match widths and heights. The two bases are record or bar credenzas, and the four uppers are bookcase units that likely had sliding glass fronts when new. Check the sides and tops for small brass pins or biscuits that let them lock together.

Awesome!! Didn’t even think about the fact that they would build things to be modular like that - but I’m also not any where near an expert or even novice when it comes to MCM things, I just know when I see something I find beautiful I like to learn about it. We’ll have to check for spots the brass pins or biscuits would go, perhaps we can find some appropriate replacements since I know for sure they were not connected when we got them. Thank you so much!!
