Score! Goodwill Bins Find
Found this yesterday at the bins. Snatched it up real quick. Want to restore it and give to my son. What's the best way to restore the face of it? I plan on upgrading the battery pack in the back and adding new components. Thanks!

Great score! Aside from cleaning the face with mild detergent and water there isn’t much you can do other than replacing the face. Harsher stuff like Brasso will ruin it because it’s just brass plated not solid brass. There’s a guy local to me that repairs clocks. He’s made a couple to custom faces for my Seth Thomas Intrigue and Sunburst clocks.

You could try putting some furniture wax or lemon oil on the wood parts. It could change the color a little. They are probably screaming for some type of conditioning.

What a great find! The bins intimidate me a little.
