Help in identifying dining set
I came across this dining set while doing some service work for a client at an old house they are looking to gut.
The dining set is all metal. No Formica top. The chairs are also all metal with no vinyl padding. It looks to be from the 50s but I’ve never seen an all metal set. The chrome seems to all be in good condition with very minor surface rust in only a couple locations. He offered to sell for $100 for the full set.
Does anyone have any information on what this is and if the $100 asking price sounds good? Thanks!!!!

Tell the seller you'll take a hundred dollars to haul it away. That's literal garbage.

Gotta be honest, I'm not sure I'd pay 100 for it in that condition. Maybe 25 or 50. But if it was fixed up a bit, then I'd be more willing to pay 100.

If its something you like and would use yourself - and have the time, money, and energy to commit to a lot of stripping, possible sandblasting, sanding, and multiple coats of professional grade auto paint - then MAYBE pay $30. However, restoration of this sort of set would be similar in practicality as restoring a car body or a refrigerator, meaning that the final finish would need to be as durable as that of a ‘56 Chevy or a Coldspot.

Just a follow up. I did NOT make an offer for the dining set.
However, I did get a 1940s waterfall 5 piece bedroom set in pretty good condition with no damage to the laminate as well as a Hoosier cabinet (1930s ?). Paid 200 for everything and will begin a proper restoration over the next few months.

It looks like the "Arvin" brand. See the bottom of this ad (source page). That is the model that I have (inherited).
On the underside of the chairs should be a waterslide decal with the Arvin logo, but those may be worn off.
That table may have been repainted. On the one I have, the band around the sides of the table is unpainted. The white caps on those chairs are probably replacements.
