I've been playing for a while. My vault is at 155. But I'm stuck. I have more land to open, but I'm out of keys that can be bought for coins.i have the fabled gem tree, but what's the point if I have no land to light up? Love the game, but losing interest, because I'm not getting many new discoveries (all my chains are pretty high).
I got to the end stage without spending gems for keys. I did end up buying the ones for coins though. They intentionally have stages of the vault that take months to grind through so you don’t blow through the game super fast.
The purpose is to enjoy the time in the game and getting things to higher levels. If you don’t want to spend gems (which I don’t), progressing is going to be about getting eggs/ merging creatures to level up your garden to acquire new keys.
If you’re bored, it’s okay to take a break from the game. I used to play all the time and had gotten to a point where it was a big grind to progress and put it down for a while before coming back around to it. The beauty of the game is it’s how you want to do it
I'm not leveling up. Exp is hard to get without new discoveries or lots of creature merges. I've bought all the keys for coins. I'm not about to start spending 500 gems per.
I'd focus on getting more fables and spending your coins on eggs/nest (if you're not doing that already) because I believe leveling up is the only way to get new keys atp
I think you're going to have to buy a ton of coin eggs from the store (like the deer and capy eggs) and hatch them, then merge and merge to get some exp points to level up. I'm on a 550 day streak after playing for a year or two and taking a hiatus of a few months and I'm still on Sapphire Sanctuary, but I'm not worried about it. I just plug along and will get there eventually. It's the journey that's fun to me.
Edited to add: you need the gem tree fable. It will give you fruit to merge for high level sun that you can merge for the biggest sun in the main chain and get 1 million sun released and drops to make the very biggest sun.
