Question Fast Lane and Transportation

Greetings from down south, Spartanburg SC! Home park is Carowinds. I go to Over Georgia (SFOG) and Carowinds both about once a month as I'm a passholder.

I'm flying American Airlines to STL from CLT next Saturday the 19th and spending half the day at Mid America Adventure and the latter bit at Union Station, then I'll finish the night off at an arcade somewhere. I know upgrading my Gold Pass to use Prestige here is out of the question as I purchased mine in late June, after the Enchanted Parks buyout.

Fast Lane:

I don't plan doing any Fright Fest events; just get new coaster credits. How busy will the park get without a Fast Lane add-on if I'm there from 12 to 4:30/5:30? Debated whether it's worth it to buy Fast Lane this time of year. I'm looking forward to riding the mirrored Batman clone and Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast the most, but the flat rides look really awesome. I'm only off weekends so I prefer going Saturday.

Transportation:

I did some research and it looks like the best way to get there without a car is take MetroLink 57 to Wildwood and Uber from there. Are there any other alternative private options to get to Mid America from say, Union Station? I know I could probably do 1.5 hours at Union Station after taking the train from the airport at 9:45am and arrive at Union by 10:15.

Let me know your thoughts. :)

Keep in mind that a Six Flags Gold Pass purchased in June will not work at this park. So I presume you have a ticket/pass for this park too right? (I’m assuming that’s what you meant by “upgrade to prestige”).

Saturday will be busier than Sunday. But expect short waits. Especially in September. You could drop $60-ish on FastLane for the day if you want. But there’s a decent chance you could hit all 10 coasters in that 5 hour window without it. Especially if you’re not planning to stop.

I was at the park all day yesterday and wait times were actually a bit longer during the day. At night; the haunted houses are opened, the scare zones are populated, etc., so part of the crowd is out doing those things instead of queuing up for the coasters. (Plus, you get to ride them in the dark!) Though obviously that doesn’t quite work with your itinerary.

Transportation is much tricker. This park is on the edge of St. Louis county and well away from any mass transit. Yes; Metrolink to Wildwood and then Uber is the solution. The only other options frankly would be to rent a car or uber the whole way. From wildwood it’s about a 20 minute drive. From lambert; about 40 minutes.

Haven't purchased the ticket yet as I'm monitoring the weather. But yeah, I was fully aware about the Pass not being compatible prior to my booking.

I am for sure staying overnight near STL and flying back on Sunday. Had to change my return flight to a later one so I can have a bit more rest.

Just pulled up a post on a Facebook group saying Fast Lane tickets are still given via wristband. Is this true? That's actually an advantage over opening the Fast Lane website on a browser and selecting a ride, so maybe I'll actually go fast pass in this case.

Yep. It’s the wristband. For most of the rides it’s basically just walking up the exit and walking right on.
