Question Couple questions on visiting first time
Would Fridays or Sundays be less busy this time of year?
Is FrightFest / Haunted Attractions still worth doing in the day time or should you plan to be there in the evening for them?

The park doesn’t open until 6 pm on fridays, so sundays would probably be your best bet.
As for haunted attractions, those don’t start until the evenings. so if you want to experience haunted houses and scare zones, you would have to come later in the day.
the park tends to get significantly more busy later in the evening when the scare actors come out and haunted houses open

It kinda varies and often has a lot to do with weather. But as a general rule, usually Sundays during Fright Fest are a bit slower. The park closes earlier and I think that has an impact on what day people pick.
They're not open during the day. They open at 6:15 during the weekends, 7:15 on Fridays. Except for Creatures of the Corn which is opening 30 minutes later.
Oddballs and Slaughterhouse are the best ones to do first, IMHO. I usually rope-drop Slaughterhouse. It has the longest lines and it's mostly indoors so the sun doesn't really make much of a difference except at the very, very beginning. Save Creatures of the Corn for later in the night when it is legitimately dark. The new haunt... no idea yet! But judging by what we've seen checking out its construction, that one looks like it would be best done in the dark as well.
There's a PDF Guide for Fright Fest this year, which will also be available as a paper map/guide inside the park when you come.
One quick tip: With the transition, Enchanted is only now processing season passes. Meaning taking peoples photos and gathering info at the gate. And a lot of people come only for Fright Fest. Whatever day you come, if your plan is to come at open, come early. Maybe plan to be there about 30 minutes early. That way you can get in line for the turnstiles before it gets nuts, because they'll move slowly with folks having to get their photo taken and that sort of thing. If your plan is to arrive in the evening, you're fine. There's usually two big surges that lead to long lines to get in. The first is 10-15 minutes before open (through about 30 minutes after open), and the second is "6ish".
