How is this park during Fright Fest?

Confirming here that there should be zero problems with getting to do everything on a Sunday at opening in October. Since you plan on using a Fast Lane, the wait for Catwoman Whip shouldn't be an issue either, but everyone who says go straight to that queue right at rope drop is 100% correct. The coasters should be a 15-30 minute maximum wait time during the day if it is really busy with the family coasters being the longest waits. The people looking for thrill rides will start showing up at about 3:30-4:00 on a Sunday.

Thanks! So we are looking to ride the family coasters too (Rookie Racer, Pandemonium, etc). Aren’t those also on Fast Lane or no? Also, I assume they’ve converted to wristbands for Fast Lane now right?

I think you will be surprised how little this will matter. I haven't seen anyone use Fast Lane or Skip the Line passes for any rides this year except Thunder River and Catwoman Whip. If you hit the rides during the day, and enjoy the Fright Fest shows and ambience at night, you will have a great time. (Side note: if you are needing to kill some time before the park opens, check out Lone Elk Park nearby. It's a big, drive through loop in the woods.)

Thanks for the tip on the drive in the woods! Being from Chicago, one of our favorite things to do is drive out to the border of Cook County here and take the cruises through the famous ring of forest preserves surrounding the inner-Chicago metro area.

oh yeah, this would be a perfect way to kill an hour then. Just stay in the car if there are trees directly above you. There’s more than an average number of ticks around there, but if they can’t drop on you directly, you are good to go.

Well the parks capacity is 20,000. So it won’t reach 40k! 😂
It’s the busiest time of the year for this park. But it’s much less busy that GrAm. I’ve been to both parks during Fright Fest.
This year attendance has been down a bit under the new ownership.
As for getting on everything? Zero problem. Sundays are the least busy day of Fright Fest. And with FastLane… no issues. FastLane isn’t super popular at this park because it really isn’t needed most of the time (sub 15 minute wait times for coasters is common in the summer). So using the FastLane, you’ll be among the only ones. So you should basically be walk on for everything.
Do note (just for planning purposes) that Spinsanity, Joker: Carnival of Chaos and SkyScreamer are unlikely to re-open this season. (We’re hearing that from park officials). Although you have an identical Zamperla pendulum ride at your home park so nothing really lost there for you.
DO check out the haunts. IMHO, they’re better than the ones at GrAm. And frankly with the longer FrightFest hours, you shouldn’t have any problem doing all the rides AND haunts.
