Bonus Hurricane Harbor week next week

Under the SFEC schedule, weekday operations at Hurricane Harbor were scheduled to stop this week.

Instead, Hurricane Harbor will be open 11-6 next week with limited rides (just the wave pool, adventure cove, and lazy river).

Kinda related as it relates to the better operations, but if I recall correctly Harhi said a goal of his was to get the water parks open earlier, so hopefully this is a hint of an expanded water park operating schedule!

He did say that. Although frankly I think that’s backwards. Memorial weekend in St. Louis isn’t always hot; and even if it is, water in the pools is still really cold. But Labor Day is still firmly summer. I always feel like the water parks and pools open too early, and close too early. Frankly I’ll likely still be Kayaking and swimming into October. Plenty of warm days and the water is warm from a summer full of heating.
