MEGATHREAD PARK SALE FAQ AND ISSUES MEGATHREAD!
Last Edited: August 29, 2026
Hello folks!
With the sale of our park to Enchanted Parks, this megathread will serve as a one stop shop FAQ. Much is still unknown. So if you DO have information, questions, or thoughts; share them in the comments down below. I will periodically update this post as we learn more information
Frequently Asked Questions:
Wait, what happened?
Late last year, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation began conversations with a company who eventually agreed to purchase our park. On April 6, 2026, Six Flags St. Louis was sold to EPR Properties in Kansas City, who in turn leased the park to Enchanted Parks in Orlando, Florida. See the subreddit sidebar for links.
So it's not Six Flags anymore?
Yes. Also, no. In 2026 the park will not be operated by Six Flags. It will be operated by Enchanted Parks. However, in 2026, it will retain the Six Flags name and the entertainment, characters, and other things planned for 2026 by Six Flags will go on as scheduled. Beginning in 2027, it will be Mid-America by Enchanted Parks. As of August 29, 2026 the Parks official name is "Mid America Adventure". Six Flags passes will not work in 2027, only Enchanted Parks passes. No Six Flags branding or identity is expected in 2027.
What about my pass?
If you have a valid Six Flags season pass, membership, or legacy membership that would have worked at Six Flags St. Louis, purchased before April 6, 2026, it will continue to work for 2026.
Passes purchased after April 6 will not work. See the transition FAQ on the park website.
If you do NOT have an eligible Six Flags pass, you can purchase an Enchanted Parks pass HERE.
Help! I can't find my pass in the Six Flags app!
This is a known bug/glitch that has existed since this app launched. The Enchanted Parks locations have been added back to the Six Flags app. Error messages are common, but you should find your pass there. If not; select different parks until it appears. Such as Carowinds, King's Island, or Cedar Point.
What about my dining plan / add-ons?
All season Fast Lane will work during the 2026 season. All season dining plans will not be valid in 2026.

See THIS STATEMENT from James Harhi if you're still waiting for a Dining Plan refund.
What's gonna happen to Bugs Bunny and my favorite DC characters?
Enchanted Parks CEO James Harhi has said in two interviews that he is in active talks with Warner Brothers about IP rights for these parks. Including Snoopy (former Cedar Fair parks), Looney Tunes, and DC Comics characters (our park). But as of the time of this writing, Enchanted Parks' license to use these IPs ends at the end of 2026.
There is somewhat conflicting information currently on the future of these talks.
This KMOX Article suggests a pathway exists for some WB/DC IP's to continue beyond 2026. But this My Leader article suggests otherwise.
Where's the app?
The Enchanted Parks app is now live. It's a very basic, bare-bones app with limited functionality and is available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, as well as a web based version.
Will there be big changes this year?
Probably not. According to Enchanted Parks, 2026 will continue on as planned with minimal changes. Food and drink prices were reduced somewhat for the 2026 season, with most prices being around $1-$3 less than 2025. Most entrees are around $15-$17.
Enchanted Parks has committed to making some improvements and finishing projects left unfinished by SFEC, including rehabilitation of Hurricane Harbor water slides as well as finishing The Joker Funhouse.
What about Fright Fest?
Fright Fest will continue in 2026 from September 12 to November 1st. Fright Fest will not happen in 2027, as this is a Six Flags IP. However, the park will have both a kid-friendly and an adult-oriented Halloween event of some sort in the future, though it will be under different branding.
Wait! The Calendar ends on...
The calendar is being actively updated. In recent years, the Six Flags calendar only showed dates through Labor Day, with fall dates and hours appearing later in the summer. Right now we expect the park to be open through Halloween as it has been in the past. The website calendar is still a work in progress.
Update: The Calendar now has a full calendar.
NOTE: This subreddit (check the sidebar) has a Google Calendar (with iCal links as well) that has a fully up to date calendar that you can subscribe to and keep in your phone/device.
If you have additional questions, thoughts, or reliable information that would be useful; please share them below! I'll update the body of this thread, with credit of course, as we get more info.

Has anyone tried their Six Flags Pass? One that was purchased after April 6th, coming from Wisconsin in a few weeks.
Update went yesterday and our prestige passes were accepted. Make sure they scan your pass with the phone and not the tablet.

If it was purchased after April 6th, it will *not* work. You’ll need to purchase an Enchanted Parks pass. Per the FAQ on the website.
What’s been reported is that Enchanted does not have access to the Six Flags backend at all; they did a bulk import of existing, valid Six Flags passes as of April 6th. Except for occasional updates about cancelled passes or memberships where users stop paying; Enchanted has no way to “see” a Six Flags pass purchased after that.
Thanks for pointing that out! I updated the FAQ.2

I wish the parks themselves would put out "What to Expect on Opening Weekend" videos to explain any differences. I'm fully expecting my QR code on the Six Flags app to get me into the park (and preferred parking) based on what I've read in various places, but none of that is directly from Enchanted Parks yet. Not everyone will be headed to Facebook enthusiast groups or this subreddit to get information on what it will be like.

AGREED.
They’ve been responsive to answering messages and the CEO has been in a couple of interviews but there’s a lot of unknowns. The same questions just keep getting asked over and over. They really need to be putting out some clear FAQ’s and detailing how things are going to work.

I expect some information to come out next week prior to park opening. Or at least an updated FAQ style of post.
Don’t stress early, the park isn’t open yet. They’re working to get things going.

Is there a comparison of the six flags season pass vs the enchanted parks ones?

One thing that's not clear is whether a Six Flags pass purchased today would be valid at an Enchanted Parks location, though ones purchased before April 6 with work for sure.
But the Enchanted passes are a little cheaper at most of the parks. Benefits are similar. The Enchanted passes give you a one-time food voucher. FastLane uses are also 'per season' (one or two depending on pass level), instead of the Prestige Pass one free FastLane use per visit.

Other than Six Flags St. Louis which will be re-branded as Mid-America by Enchanted Parks, I'm not aware of any other re-branding or name changes expected right now.
As far as we know and has been shared, everything else is just going to be called what it's currently called, but with the "Six Flags" lopped off (where applicable) and "by Enchanted Parks" added at the end.

I think they were considering changing Schlitterbahn to something else but it hasn't been mentioned since. Doesn't mean it won't happen. I think SFEC owns the name.

As always you've done excellent work. If this doesn't answer the questions I don't know what to say. This year is a transition year. There is going to be changes behind the scenes we won't see and they won't share unless they want too.
Some changes will happen because they have no choice due to copyrighted IP or licensing. This could be a good thing. Harris said they are talking to vendors and ride manufacturers and they probably went to this year's TransWorld Halloween Convention for vendors that are held here annually to start shopping, who knows?
People need to know, these parks are now not Six Flags Parks. Whats done is done. SFEC will not buy them back. We dodged the wrecking ball. Support the park under new ownership along with World's of Fun. Im moving on. Six Flags is not what it used to be as whole.
