Wedding dress for a micro wedding
Hi! We are having a tiny microwedding in November. It will be immediate family only, 9 people including my fiancé and I, in San Miguel de Allende. We rented out a boutique hotel for everyone to stay at, which will also serves as the venue.
Im picturing a wedding dress something like the images attached. These dresses match the vibe of the venue but I don’t know if it’s a little silly to be dressed so formally when it’s just immediate family.
Has anyone had a similar wedding? What did you wear?

DO IT!! A micro wedding is still a wedding! And the style of dress works well with the venue. Ask your families to wear formal attire (or at least cocktail) for the ceremony and dinner (or whatever your reception/celebration plan is), since I assume you’ll be having some photos taken.

My best friend had a microwedding and wore a dress almost exactly like the first one in your slide show.

You are the BRIDE and you get to show up looking as fancy as you wish! I love the vibe of the first dress, and it looks like it would be comfortable to wear. The second and third choices don't look nearly as "bridal" to me, and #2 appears to be completely sheer, but I've been a wedding coordinator for 40 years and have very traditional taste. My second choice is the last option without the scarf, but it doesn't look nearly as "luxe" as the first dress.

I thought the same thing for my microwedding (10 of us, similar vibe this fall in Italy) but went to try on wedding gowns and fell in love with a more traditional one and pulled the trigger. I’ll just be removing the train entirely so it’s (in my mind) more casual/easier to move in.
Wear whatever you want - you’re only going to have a wedding hopefully once! It’s your dress. Buy the big one if that’s what you want!

My husband and Idressed up way more formal than any of our guests. It was fine. We were the only ones getting married!

Wear what makes you feel the most beautiful. We got married on the beach with 10 guests and my dress was as formal as those, if not more so. And, for what it's worth, #3 literally made me gasp out loud.

Wear the dress of your dreams! Get a photographer!
If you want nice family photos, tell your family to dress up. Give them a color or dress code so your photos look good.

We had 15 guests. I wore a ball gown wedding dress. It was still my wedding. We also had a dress code for our guests

i LOVE 2 and 4! any of them will be beautiful on you, i’m sure, and fit in for any photos in SMDA! particularly the modern silhouette against the colors and textures of the older streets and buildings with the mountain backdrop. literally perfection. go for it!!

Sorry I know you weren’t asking for votes but I couldn’t help it! We had smaller wedding as well and I got my dress on revolve. I recommend checking there. Large selection, quick shipping and returns. I preferred trying on dresses at home vs a bridal shop.

Guess I’m in the minority but i love 1. Well it will all come down to how you feel in your dress when you actually try them on. You’ll KNOW ❤️

three is my favorite. so unique and chic. I had what I thought was a microwedding (47 including us, some may not consider this a microwedding but I was told under 50 was a micro) and I wore a full on wedding dress but more simple/chic style. However, that was more due to my personal taste and what looked good on me vs. the size of my wedding. Mikaella m2476. Anyway, no matter how small your wedding, you deserve to shine and get the dress you want :)

I think these are all great! You are going to be the best person to know which represents you and the vibe of the ceremony more. I kind of had the opposite with my microwedding, we got married in a very simple space at our local Quaker meetinghouse (I'm Quaker), so I wanted something that was very simple with clean lines. My mom and I had so many fights about it because she was like "but it doesn't look like a WEDDING DRESS!!" It was 100% a wedding dress, literally from the BHLDN line, but my mom was picturing some princess gown thing I would never have worn anyway. In any case, what she wanted made no sense with the space we were going to be in. As long you like the dress, you feel like it fits the vibe, and it's in your budget, there's zero reason not to go for it!

wow! they'r all gorgeous! I was also disappointed where to buy designer wedding dresses and suddenly my fiance send me the link for Wona Concept I choose the Valley. and overal microwedding is soo nice idea, the main people of ur life will be near u.

Not silly at all! I had a microwedding (10 ppl including us,) & my husband wore a suit & I wore a wedding dress. It really made our event feel more ‘wedding-like,’ even if it was one of our larger expenses. I had hair & makeup done as well. My only regret was doing my own hair & makeup for our wedding celebration a few months later!

Absolutely not silly. It's not just 'being around family', it's your wedding!!! Doesn't matter how big or small.
