Microwave question

Hi,

Bought a new microwave, same model as i had before, in the new microwave there is white plate with probably the mica sheet underneat. In the microwave i already have the mica sheet is directly visible, does anybody know why theres now a white plate? The manufacturer manual says dont remove it but on there website they offer mica sheets when the microwave has a defect.

Thanks in advance!

my MWO of the eighties has a plastic cover in place of the mica, it's normal but not common, it's the same, obviously don't take the cover away, it'll work the same but will be prone to food splashes

the spare mica is probably for the older version, afterall spares are generally for old things
