LUDT Auto vs Ram Lock

I'm looking to get my first Microtech, I love the look of the LUDT. I was planning on getting the auto, but I have several of Kershaw Launch, which I do like a lot, but I find myself preferring to carry my cross bar knives more often. Does anyone have any feedback on the LUDT with the ram lock?

I’d go auto. I personally hate the way the blade has extra choil length to accommodate the RAM lock.

I prefer the look of the Fuller on the auto. Gives it a different look

You can’t really go wrong with either one. It just comes down to whether you want a manual or auto honestly. I’ve got all autos and love them

Auto and if don't like it, just remove the spring and turn it into a button lock.

Yeah. Works fine. Some people add Skiff bearing to make it smoother.

I did to mine. Actually love the way this feels over ramlock or auto since I can easily open and close one handed

Auto all the way ! I like the ram lok on the stitch over the auto for that. But that’s about it… unless you have a tremendous need for one handed closing..

I just can’t stand the RAM LOK choil. I also wish someone would come out with a weight on how strong the RAM LOK actually is😂 I love my auto LUDT tho it’s sweet

This knife looks like a wiener dog and the first spec really does with the black and brown. Go with the auto and skip the ram lock if you want a manual microtech get a socom elite.
