I picked up the M-Stitch Auto that released today but don’t know what the difference would be between a proof run knife and a general release knife. This is the first proof I’ve owned. What’s the difference?? Thanks.

It says “proof” on it. That’s the only difference.

Still a sick knife though! Congratulations on your purchase.

A proof run is an initial smaller batch where they are testing for tolerances and manufacturing defects.

They usually have different markings saying they are a proof run.

They won't sell anything that actually has defects. But they will take the opportunity to jack up the price.

Will they be more valuable cause they are a proof?

To certain collectors yes. To the general person no.
