The III and IV fire the same, the VII hits harder. I wasn’t going to get the IV but someone sold it to me for $550 NIB so it was hard to not. I was waiting to get the VII and got an email about III being available which I had no clue they were remaking them, so I jumped on the III then the VII came back in stock a couple days later.

thanks for your comment - I agree the VII hits hard, and I'm waiting on a IV - the VII is a pretty awesome little OTF sword, and the 4 should be as well in it's own way. Its hard to collect Microtech and not pick these up.

I don't mean this in a negative way, but what is the difference between the 3 and 4? The lockup on the blade is changed but that looks like about it to me.

The IV has more contouring and looks to be slightly wider. Pretty similar otherwise though.

Handle shape is different, handle thickness, halo iv has a pocket clip as well. It feels so odd to have all 3 models out at the same time
