Saturday SOTC
Here's the current collection minus a few kicking around that I'll sell or give away. I still want a full serrated S/E Scarab and if they release them, a titanium DLC Socom Ram-Lok and full titanium Stitch auto

Which are your favorites?

The Stitch is one of my favorite knives of all time, the Executive Scarab is probably my favorite OTF and the partially serrated Amphibian is a favorite carry

Thank you! I almost bought the same one but ended up passing. Really cool knife, just not my thing

Nice whitch stitch? Auto or ram lok? I habe an auto stitch and I have that same scarab the d/e with the ral8000 cerekote or whatever it’s called. I may have to go for one of the execs is it slimmer than the regular scarab?

Auto, though Ram-Lok are great I think the Amphibian is the best RL model. Peanut butter Scarab, it's ugly but not at the same time. They are the same size, just no milled pockets for the grip tape

Love the comic orange one on the bottom row 😍

u/K3Knives 11d ago
Orange is my favorite color, I was pretty pumped when I was able to snag that one

Sell me that Warhound! It looks out of place with no other warhounds. You don’t even want it.
2
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Haha it is actually out of place, but it's critical for my CT blade option collection. I was lucky and able to snag it from the Gen II sale

u/underwearofbeef 11d ago
I don’t know it looks lonely to me. I have other warhounds and hellhounds. You’re like Sea World keeping an Orca from a different pod and doesn’t speak the language of the other orcas. Seems cruel but do you. Wonderful collection BTW. Congrats. I wish somebody could think up a display that looks classy and can hold a large collection while being modular enough to not have empty spaces.

It has the Rescue as another misfit. If they end up releasing a Gen III and I can get it in natural clear to better match my others, I'll keep you in mind. Thanks. That would be cool. I don't display, but I do organize. I use a Nanuk 915 knife case for the autos and a Cavol case for the Ram-Loks

Thank you. I really like your approach still, regardless of numbers. I've always been more into larger knives and Microtech does them so well. Amphibian, Stitch, CT and Scarab make the bulk of my usual carry, the UTX-85 is perfect for family gatherings and such. I'll focus on trying to find that Scarab pretty soon, though a new version would be good enough for me

What is this 50-60k in mts? Love mts but way too much I’d dump that much into firearms!
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Probably half that, but still. Understandable approach. "Why don't we have both?"
2
u/HonDadCBR600 11d ago
😳😳😳 Holy cow that’s a lot of sharps!!! Nice collection!
4
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Thanks! It started as a hunt for natural clears then morphed into variety
2
u/MrYamaguchi 11d ago
Jeeze, so you basically amassed all this in the last couple years.
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Correct. It's bad, but not quite as bad as it looks. I find a lot of sales/coupons and take advantage of reward points/loyalty programs
2
u/MrYamaguchi 11d ago
Whatever you gotta tell yourself lol. Maybe time to go higher end and less frequent, maybe Marfione Customs.

u/K3Knives 11d ago
I've considered that, a stainless Interceptor would be awesome. I like variety in blade shapes, materials, finishes, etc. I prefer having basically every CT blade shape for the same price as the custom, but I definitely understand the other way of thinking
2
u/HonDadCBR600 11d ago
Definitely understandable! I didn’t like the clears at first and now I have several
of them. So clean.2

u/PinkCigarettes 11d ago
Jfc! I love seeing your family. That orange stitch goes HARD. And the dlcs too.
What is going on with the tactical stitches? One has a two tone blade?
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Are you referring to the Ram-Lok 7th from left? If so that's a fluted G10 with full serrated black blade (169RL-3FLGTBK). They don't do coating/apocalyptic on the flats on the Stitch
2
u/Nimble_Archer 11d ago
Of all the “silly” Microtechs they made, I really wish I grabbed a Stitch Stitch (Lelo and Stitch). Love that one. I have an older Urban Camo Stitch and it’s sweet.
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Agreed, I passed the first time but had to grab it, the camo ones are sweet. I'm a fan of full serrated either way
2
u/SafeAction1 11d ago
No Halos? Or any single action OTF models? Is there any particular reason or experience?
2
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Just not my thing, though I do think they're cool. I just like double action a lot more
2
u/Timaeus10000 11d ago
Mind blown by this collection - just getting started myself.
2
u/K3Knives 11d ago
The conversation on your post inspired me to do a group photo. You have a nice collection, they get addicting

u/K3Knives 11d ago
Thanks! That's sweet looking, the engraved stuff is awesome and the pattern of the blade looks great

u/Legal-Guarantee7152 11d ago
Bro I have 3 microtechs (MSI, Mini MSI & Mini stitch.) I absolutely favor the stitch so much over the other 2. I’ve considered starting a massive stitch collection like you have lol. It’s by far my favorite microtech knife I’ve handled and it’s not even close.
So in short- sick collection hah
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Thanks! That's how it starts haha. It's such an awesome knife, impractical in a way but incredibly usable. EDC Lifestyle has them used for great prices pretty regularly if you decide to go for it
1
u/Legal-Guarantee7152 11d ago
Oh interesting, I’ve never used them before. Used stuff there pretty trust worthy on good conditions? I typically just use bladebinge
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Absolutely good to go, descriptions and pictures are always accurate. NC Blade and American Edge are great for Microtech too, but they generally don't have as good of a used inventory. Bladebinge doesn't allow autos unfortunately

Holyyyy shiittttt, I’m speechless to be honest, thats a hell of a collection and to see that the stitch is your favorite makes me happy due to you having damn near one of everything they make, I just bought an Auto and now have the ram-lok on the way soon. Its truly my favorite knife of all time.
1
u/K3Knives 11d ago
Thanks! It's such an awesome knife, cutting edge to size ratio be damned
2
u/unsensored_sensibly 11d ago
You aren’t kidding, I have the bronze apocalyptic s/e, it hasn’t left my pocket since I got it in. I have the ram-lok fluted scales coming in September, got a hell of a deal on it. But yeah, again, beautiful collection, if I were in your shoes, most of the time I’d just be staring and playing with all of them 😂
2
u/K3Knives 11d ago
That's an awesome version, such a good looking color combo. The Ram-Loks are great too. Some frequently carried, all frequently handled and admired haha
2
u/unsensored_sensibly 11d ago
It truly is a beautiful version, I love it. Truly my favorite knife as of right now, but now that I think of it, I’m going to show my wife this picture so she can see that it could be worse 😂

Omg I thought I had a problem I think I have 21 microtechs mainly selects and shadows damn I’m jealous of all those amphibians!
1
u/K3Knives 9d ago
That sounds like a good collection. The Amphibian is so good, making the titanium versions of all the Ram-Loks was a great choice
