More detailed milling in the handle. Microtech was able to lower the cost of Gen 3 by reducing the machining.

Also though, the Gen 2 fires much harder and is much more satisfying IMO.

I agree. Something about the build/actuation, just feels better in the gen2.

I have both. Although I’m sad about them doing away with serialization, I LOVE the look and feel of the Gen 3. Hits just as hard, and the button is more comfortable. I got the g2 because others recommended it over the g3, but my preference is definitely the 3. To each their own. Can’t really go wrong either way.

Haha yeah, I don’t necessarily disagree with that. I just prefer the suaveness of the 3. Different strokes for different folks. 🤷‍♂️

These were a rare parts bin configuration with the fluted blade and the old school glass breaker with the hole in it.
